The Ruark Audio R2i stereo system is the ideal system for iPod and iPhone lovers who want somewhere to dock their unit, charge it and play back, with rich high quality stereo music and bags of style! Built within this unit is a DAB+ and FM tuner with all the features you would come to expect, inluding RDS. There's a handy auxhillary input on the front, and a more formidable stereo phono input on the rear - perfect for plugging in other devices on the fly, or for permanently connecting a CD player, or even your PC. You can even run audio out from this unit to another machine, ideal for playing through another system such as your home cinema system.
As always with Ruark Audio, there are great alarm and sleep timer functions, meaning you can also use this as your alarm clock. However, plug in your iPhone or iPod and you can truly start to appreciate how great this unit is. Sound is wonderful and smooth, and you can control easily via the included remote control - including controlling your iPhone or iPod!
All in all, a fantastic choice if you need something a bit special for your home.
Product name change
On February 29th 2012, Vita Audio announced the change of name from Vita Audio to Ruark Audio. This change is historic; Vita Audio was created in 2004 by Ruark Acoustics, a long standing speaker manufacturer. In 2012 they decided to bring the Vita Audio brand name under the same 'umbrella' as Ruark Acoustics, and thus Ruark Audio was born.
It's still the same company and the same products - no change to anything other than the name! Your Vita Audio product is still supported just as before. Whilst switchover occurs, some stock may still in fact be branded Vita Audio, and some will be rebadged - but be assured that it's the same quality product with the same features, reliability and sound quality.
