Ruark Audio R4i integrated music system

Ruark Audio have done it again with their Ruark Audio R4i integrated music system. The top of their range of systems based around the simple philosophy of quality and style, the R4i is a class leading all in one music system. Combining looks with sound almost effortlessly, the R4i boasts a range of different features. First, it is a CD player with a front loading draw. It's capable of playing both CD's and CD-R's, allowing you to store and playback MP3 and WAV files. There's also a handy front USB port, perfect for using a memory stick too. Or, use the iPhone/iPod dock on the top of the unit to play back and charge your device simultaneously.

Of course, the R4i is a radio, with both DAB+ and FM built in. It even features all the alarm clock functions you would come to expect from Vita, such as snooze and sleep functions. There's even a handy 3.5mm jack input on the front for any other audio devices, or use the phono inputs on the rear for a dedicated connection to another device. And finally - there's of course an audio output in case you wanted to run your R4i through another sound system in another room.

With all this, it's easy to forget that the styling and sound is the biggest attraction with the R4i. Looks are exceptional, and work just as well in the bedroom, kitchen or even office. Turn it on, and you are presented with clear, beautiful audio to match in perfectly with the styling.

One of our favourite features on this machine is the wonderful remote control - it's actually the dial built into the top of the machine, cunningly designed to blend in perfectly, but can be lifted out to control everything from volume, radio stations, to even your iPhone. It's as good looking as the unit itself, and looks great on your coffee table - another stunning design feature from the team at Ruark Audio.

Product name change

On February 29th 2012, Vita Audio announced the change of name from Vita Audio to Ruark Audio. This change is historic; Vita Audio was created in 2004 by Ruark Acoustics, a long standing speaker manufacturer. In 2012 they decided to bring the Vita Audio brand name under the same 'umbrella' as Ruark Acoustics, and thus Ruark Audio was born.

It's still the same company and the same products - no change to anything other than the name! Your Vita Audio product is still supported just as before. Whilst switchover occurs, some stock may still in fact be branded Vita Audio, and some will be rebadged - but be assured that it's the same quality product with the same features, reliability and sound quality.
