Pioneer A-209R stereo amplifier

Amazing value from Pioneer. The A-209R amplifier has all the features you would expect from a stereo amplifier, but at a fraction of the price - and yet still provides stunning sound quality.

Its 60W per channel power rating means it will drive most speakers with ease, and will fill your room with sound. Add to that A/B speaker switching, and you have the option of bi-amping one set of quality speakers (giving you better sound and control as well as volume), or running a second set of speakers in another room - simply select which pair you want running by selecting or deselecting 'A' or 'B'.

The A-209R also has a comprehensive selection of tone controls. As well as the expected bass and treble controls, there is also a loudness feature which is perfect for giving a 'oomph' to your volume by cleverly manipulating the audio sound - great for rock, pop and dance music. However, if you want as pure as sound as possible, you can also use the Direct feature which diverts the sound away from ALL the tone controls to give you the purist and most simple sound - straight from the source.

With it's 6 audio inputs you should have no lack of options in connecting your equipment, and with its built in phono stage you can connect a record deck directly to your amplifier without the need for an external phono stage. There's even a handy tape loop giving you pretty much everything you need - oh, and don't forget the headphone amplifier and remote control!
