The Samsung UE40D6530 Smart 3D 40" television offers a host of functions, high quality specifications and a stunning 3D picture rendered with a 400Hz refresh rate to give you a realistic and compelling picture.
Straight out of the box, the Samsung UE40D6530 is very easy to set up. Plug in your 3D Blu-ray player, games console, satellite box or even your camcorder using any of the 4 HDMI inputs - remember to use a 3D rated HDMI cable to ensure you get the 3D effect! There's also a handy SCART input for your older equipment. To keep the screen slim, Samsung have provided a SCART adaptor lead that will enable you to plug your unit in without forcing the screen away from the wall (and keeping that screen slimmer!)
Turn it on and run through the simple set up process and you can start enjoy 3D straight away regardless of what you are watching - the UE40D6530 will convert all your 2D videos into 3D, plus there are two pairs of 3D glasses included so even if you have no 3D content right now, you can start to benefit straight away. The picture is of course excellent, with motion rendered accurately and with depth. We enjoyed both watching in 2D and 3D, but the best results of course come from 3D content - this is where the screen particularly shines!
Of course, there's a lot more to this television than just that. Freeview HD is built in, plus it has Wi-Fi meaning you can connect it to your router and enjoy services such as Facebook, Skype and streaming from your own network (that is, you can stream video content from your computer!). There's the optional Samsung CY-STC1100/XC Skype camera if you'd like to enjoy talking to your friends over the internet via your television, adding huge value to your television - free video calls to friends!
There's even 3 USB ports on this television, which you can use to plug in USB devices such as a USB memory stick or a USB hard drive to playback and enjoy both picture content and video content.
Phew - there's a lot to take in here! Apart from the included 2 pairs of 3D glasses, there is also a remote control, plus a stand and wall bracket so you can choose whether to wall mount your screen or just put it on your television unit. Finally, for those of you eagle eyed enough to notice, this screen is identical to the Samsung UE40D6510 television - effectively the same screen but this unit is in black, whereas the UE40D6510 is in white.
